Social media influencer and content creator Apoorva Makhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, was seen at the Khar Police Station on Wednesday in connection with the ongoing controversy involving YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina.
The controversy stems from a derogatory comment made on Raina’s YouTube reality show, India’s Got Latent, which has led to multiple complaints being filed against Allahbadia, Raina, and the show’s organisers.
Adding to the case, a separate complaint was lodged against Makhija for allegedly using abusive and vulgar language during the show.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, Makhija was seen surrounded by media personnel outside the police station, being questioned about her remarks on the show. While she did not make a formal statement to the press, her appearance at the police station indicates that the investigation is underway.
The controversy has sparked heated debates on social media about the boundaries of content and free speech in the digital age. Authorities are currently investigating all allegations related to the case.
